I know I have said this before but repeat client sessions are really some of my favorites. These little ones change so much in the first year and this little guy was no exception. I first photographed him at 5 days, 4 months and now he has turned one. It’s such an honor to share in and capture these milestones – the moments are truly fleeting at this age.
Mom asked if there would be time to do a family photo and if I would be willing to do that — um yeah! I can’t think of a time I would ever turn down the opportunity to take a family photo – these are so important!
If you can’t tell from these photos, mom is a total sweetheart and loves her little family so much. She even showed up with a huge bundle of new baby clothes for MY baby on the way — so thoughtful and such a nice surprise!
Dad was sort of reluctant to get in some photos, but we talked him into it and I think it was fairly painless… and totally worth this photo!
OK, seriously… not only is this mom so sweet, she has such good taste and showed up with a TON of outfit choices and cute accessories for this little guy. I love it! It was hard to choose just a few things but so happy with what we decided on – who doesn’t love chunky baby legs in some BabyLegs? And look at that face!!
I bought this suitcase specifically for this session… and so happy with the resulting images!
I just love the simplicity, the color, and of course the subject of these photos! Also, please note that each time you see a little one on a chair or in something that may not appear entirely ‘safe’ for a small child, mom or dad is always within arm’s reach and/or it’s a composite shot where a supportive arm has been taken out with Photoshop. In this case, mom was next to him while he was on the chair and any part of her that showed was removed via Photoshop — safety first!
And now onto the ‘sweet’ stuff — the cake!!! Once again, Chickadee Hill Cakes in Sandown, NH provided me with such a cute cake! They’ve been so nice I sort of feel bad that they are for smashing – luckily, there are usually plenty of leftovers that still get taken home (even if it’s sort of smushed!)
I can’t lie, I thought this little guy was really going to get into his cake… I had imagined fistfuls and plenty of frosting everywhere. Contrary to my expectations, he was pretty dainty!
Love those legs!
I just love this last set. Mom wanted to get in a few at the end despite the fact that she did end up with frosting all over shirt – she truly loves her little guy, and it shows!
Happy Birthday sweet C!!!
