Wow, I can’t believe I have been photographing this little guy for two years. Time sure does fly when you are having fun! Not only do I look forward to seeing this sweet face every so often, I look forward to seeing his parents. His mom always outdoes herself in getting ready for our shoots together. She loves to stock up on props and always has some great ideas to share with me. Such a beautiful family! This little guy was VERY busy, as most two year olds are. He didn’t want to sit down much but I’m glad I was able to capture what I could in those split second moments! Gah, look at that smile!
Here he is striking a few poses for me.This is one of my favs from the session, I couldn’t have posed him better myself — of course, he was actually going from this position to getting up and taking off again, but I’ll take what I can get!
We did this shoot in their living room so we took advantage of some really big windows for some nice backlighting!
This little boy is fortunate enough to have many grandparents who adore him, so we of course had to capture some moments with their pride and joy! And seriously, how cool are those vintage trucks from his grandfather? What a special gift to pass onto a grandchild. After our shoot, his mom showed me all of the beautiful details she had planned for his birthday party which was to be a train theme (and I mean beautiful, right down to the red handkerchief wrapped silverware!). It was a Pinterest dream party! She also could’ve easily gone with a vintage toy/truck theme too using these great trucks as inspiration. I loved everything about them and thought it was such a great idea to incorporate them into our shoot. He sort of loved them too (and I’m sure they had a fun time trying to put them away afterward!) And one last sweet kiss with his amazing mama.
